At the end of the working day, everybody wants to come back home. But we don’t just mean the house or a physical place in general, such as an apartment or even a villa, we are talking about a feeling. The difference between “a house” and “a home” is that the first one is just a building, while the second one is synonym with family, our pet, and the general sense of happiness, coziness, and safety. This is why, for this article, we prepared a series of quotes about being home, both literally and figuratively.
“Home is a shelter from storms – all sorts of storms” (William J. Bennett)
Of course, whenever a storm starts, it’s best to be home since this is where we feel safe, warm and protected. However, a fight with a co-worker or bad news from family or friends could also be considered “storms”. In this regard, coming back home is equivalent to finding your peace, at least for the moment. Even if you had a bad day or you don’t feel well, when you see your loved ones, including your cat or dog, it automatically starts to feel better.
“A house is made of brick and mortar, but home is made by the people who live there” (M. K. Soni)
We already talked about the difference between the words “house” and “home”, but this is where we intervene. One of the main causes of stress for people, aside from work, bills, and health problems is when they come home and something is broken, needing to be urgently replaced or repaired. If, or rather when it happens to you, all you have to do is give us a call – we’ll take care of the rest.
“There is no heaven in this world. There is just home” (Anonymous)
This is a very touching quote because it brings up the concept of heaven, which many people equate with complete serenity, peace of mind, and eternal happiness. Of course, heaven is not a place on Earth, contrary to Belinda Carlisle’s opinion, but home comes pretty close to this notion. It’s really reassuring to know that everybody has a piece of heaven down here, and we can all shape it the way we want.
“Having somewhere to go is a home. Having someone to love is a family. Having both is a blessing” (Anonymous)
This pretty much sums up everything we said before in this article. Having a home and a family represents an ideal for everybody, and the fact that we can call them both “a blessing” means that we are much luckier than we can imagine.
“Home is the starting place of love, hope, and dreams” (Anonymous)
Last but not least, we chose this quote because it represents the essence of what a house gives you, apart from the literal shelter. It’s a place where you charge your batteries and get ready for the future, for your evolution, and for the plans that you make together with your loved ones.
