If you’re familiar with the Butterfly effect theory, you most certainly know that even the most insignificant change can lead to effects of an unsuspected magnitude, over time. Similarly, there are seemingly inexplicable links between different phenomena, and we will discuss one of them further, in this article. More precisely, did you know that harmony between family members can contribute to the pleasant appearance of the home? In this way, your efforts to keep the house clean and pleasant to live in will be significantly diminished, and, at the same time, you will also get peace of mind knowing that everything is fine in your home, from all points of view.
If the relationships between you and the other family members, whether we are talking about your life partner, children, or other relatives, work at optimal parameters, you will first of all succeed in dividing your household tasks in an ideal way. For example, you, as a woman, will make sure that the kitchen and the bathroom have an impeccable appearance, both literally and figuratively, the children will each take care of their room, while the man will fulfill the chores around the house: mowing the lawn, taking out the garbage, straightening a leaning fence, etc.
Secondly, a good understanding between family members with decision-making power will make them turn to some indispensable services more quickly: professional cleaning (including windows, carpets, and air ducts), home maintenance (gutter cleaning, backsplash tile install, kitchen cabinets painting, hardwood floor refinishing, bathtub reglazing, etc.), as well as handyman services (carpentry, drywall repairs/installation, ceramic tile installation/repair, dryer vent installation/cleaning, insulation installation, etc.). As you can see, we are talking about very specific actions, which are not suitable for DIY, unlike some of those listed in the previous paragraph.
Also, even if it may seem surprising or even far-fetched, a peaceful atmosphere in the house also has repercussions on plants and pets. It’s a known fact that they have stimuli that respond negatively to stress, preventing their harmonious development and leading to almost immediately noticeable reactions. For example, plants will wilt faster, losing their appearance that normally makes them beautify any home. Similarly, pets will be more agitated, which could make them cause damage or make a mess around the house. Instead, if they feel that they are surrounded by serenity and security, the plants will bloom, while pets will behave in a civilized way.
Last but not least, if they see their parents behaving civilly with each other, respecting and loving each other, children will take over this behavior and they, in turn, will be more responsible and careful. Thus, they will put everything in its place, after using it, they won’t leave a mess behind and they will take care that their room reflects their personality. In conclusion, a harmonious climate between the four walls of the house will most definitely have a positive impact on its overall appearance, making it more pleasant to live in and reducing the efforts that family members have to make to maintain it in the desired cleanliness parameters.
